Help & answers
Everything we get asked, answered in public
Pricing, delivery, requirements, licences, refunds and what happens when something breaks. If an answer here is not clear enough, that is a bug in our writing — tell us and we will rewrite it.
Pricing & billing
What each subscription costs, how cancelling works and when we refund.
Buying & delivery
How the download reaches you, what updates are included and how to try before you subscribe.
Requirements & support
What you need to run each product, where your data goes and what to do when something breaks.
Licence & your data
What the licence allows, what happens when a subscription ends, and how fast we answer.
Every product is a monthly subscription, priced per product and shown on its page — from $1.99 to $19.99 a month. There is no setup fee, no minimum term and no bundle you have to buy to get one tool. Prices exclude any sales tax or VAT that applies in your country, which is added at checkout where required.
Yes. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing renews after that. You can cancel from the customer portal linked on the products page, or email us and we will do it for you the same working day. We do not ask why, and there is no cancellation fee.
If a product does not do what its page says it does, tell us within 14 days of purchase and you get that payment back in full. We will usually ask what went wrong first, because it is often something we can fix in a day. Renewal payments after that first period are not refunded — cancel before the next renewal instead. The full terms are on the Terms page.
Everything is delivered electronically. Straight after payment you get an email with the download link and, where the product uses one, your licence details. Nothing is shipped and nothing waits for manual approval. If it has not reached you within two business days, email us and we will resend it.
Yes — every update we release for a product is included for as long as your subscription is active, at no extra cost. When an update matters (a new feature, a platform change you need to know about) we email subscribers rather than making you check.
Where a product has a live demo, the link is on its page. For the rest, ask us — describe what you are trying to do and we will tell you honestly whether the product solves it. We would rather talk you out of a subscription than process a refund two weeks later.
It depends on the product and every page lists its requirements explicitly. The desktop tools run on Windows and need Python installed plus a one-off dependency install. The mobile apps need a reasonably recent Android device. The WordPress plugin needs WordPress 5.8 or later. If you are unsure whether your setup qualifies, email us before you subscribe.
Nothing reaches BasilBase. There is no BasilBase account inside the software, no telemetry and no cloud sync, and we never receive your files, positions or usage. Where a product needs outside information — market prices, historical quotes, a public shop page — it requests that directly from your own machine, so the third party sees the request exactly as it would if you had opened the page yourself. Where you connect your own broker account, that connection is between you and your broker.
Email support with what you were doing and what you saw. If it is a defect on our side we fix it or refund the current period, whichever you prefer. If it is caused by a change on your own system we will still help you get running again, even though it is not a defect.
Each product is licensed to you rather than sold outright. Unless its page says otherwise, a subscription covers one user or one website. You may use it for commercial work — including sites you build for other people, or your own business — but you may not resell it, redistribute it or share the licence with people outside your organisation.
Anything the software produced is yours and stays yours — your data lives on your own machine and we never had a copy of it. When a subscription ends you stop receiving updates and support; nothing of yours is deleted, held back or locked.
Within one business day, from a person rather than an autoresponder. The support address is in the footer of every page and on every product. If a question needs a code change to answer properly, we say so and give you a realistic date instead of a holding reply.
Still have a question?
Send it and a person will answer — the same person who writes the software. We add the good questions to this page afterwards, so asking helps the next reader too.
