Single user, one machine

Most portfolio trackers assume everything you own sits at one broker. Real portfolios do not look like that. Portfolio Terminal was built for the messier case: some shares and short options at one broker, funds at another, crypto used as loan collateral somewhere else, and a cash deposit earning interest on the side.

It puts all of it on one screen, splits the totals by account so you can see which one is actually carrying the risk, and then does the arithmetic people usually do badly in a spreadsheet: what your options are really earning per month, how close a short leg is to being assigned, and what price would put a collateralised loan in trouble.

Built around being honest about risk

A dashboard that flashes red at every expiry teaches you to ignore it. This one only raises an assignment alert when the numbers justify it — a high delta, or a leg close to expiry with a delta that still matters. Everything else sits quietly on the lifecycle rail where you can see it without being nagged.

The same principle runs through the cash-flow panel. Option premium is spread across each leg’s real term rather than divided by the days remaining, because a premium collected in June is not future income in July. That one decision is the difference between a believable monthly number and one that inflates every day.

Your data stays yours

The application runs entirely on your machine against files you control. There is no account to create and nothing is uploaded. Privacy mode rescales every figure on screen with two keystrokes, so you can demonstrate the tool or share your screen without showing what you actually hold.

What it does

Everything on one screen Stocks
options
funds
crypto
cash deposits and loans in a single dense panel
split by account so you always know which broker holds what.
Add positions however you like Import a broker statement
or type positions in by hand from the interface. Nothing is locked to one provider.
Live prices with sane caching Quotes refresh on a timer
not on every keystroke: stocks on a 10-minute rule
option chains on 30 minutes
funds daily. The panel is quick and the data source is never hammered.
Option lifecycle rail Every short leg sits on a real line — open → theta decaying → expiry near → expires today → assignment risk — placed by its actual days-to-expiry and delta.
Assignment risk that does not cry wolf An alert fires only when delta is genuinely high or the leg is close to expiry with a meaningful delta
so a normal 0.30-delta covered call does not scream at you for two months.
Cushion
with the sign that matters For every leg
how far the underlying has to move to reach your strike — negative for puts
positive for calls
so direction is readable at a glance.
Monthly cash flow Option premium earned over the next 30 days
deposit interest and net dividends
minus loan and margin interest. Premium is spread across the leg's real term instead of being double counted.
Loan-to-value panel Live LTV against your collateral with margin-call and liquidation thresholds
plus the exact collateral price that would trigger each one.
Privacy mode Two keystrokes rescale every figure on screen. Share your screen or take a screenshot without putting your balances in the room.
Three terminal themes Phosphor green
amber CRT and a paper-terminal look
with a scanline and glow toggle. Your choice is remembered.
Dated interest schedule When a rate changes you append it with a date; past periods keep their old rate and accrual is calculated per sub-period rather than retroactively rewritten.
Everything is local The application runs on your own machine and reads your own files. No account
no cloud sync
no data leaves the computer except public price lookups.
